Berry Blast Smoothie

Serves: 1

1 cup mixed berries, frozen*

½ banana, frozen**

1 cup spinach or kale

1 tablespoon ground flaxseed

1 cup water or coconut milk

  1. Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and process until smooth (about 1-2 minutes).

*If you want to use fresh bananas, add 4 or 5 ice cubes to the blender.

**When I have bananas starting to become over-ripe, I like to peel them, break them into chunks, and store them in the freezer to have on hand for smoothies.
